Update: Names released in fatal Davenport crash

DAVENPORT (KWWL)-- Three people are dead, and a 23-year-old man is in critical condition after a car crash in Davenport Friday night.

Police say a car driving east on East River Drive spun out of control and was hit by a pick-up truck. There were five people inside the car, three died from injuries, including a 22-year-old Brandon Roberts from Rock Island, Illinois, a 22-year-old McKenzie Morgan from Cordova, Illinois, and a 18-year-old Stephanie Smith from Moline, Illinois. 23-year-old Corey Brown, of East Moline is in ''extremely critical condition'' at a Davenport hospital.

The driver of the car, 21-year-old Dale Hofer is in the Scott County jail on $100,000 bond. He faces multiple counts of vehicular  homicide.

The driver of the truck, a 29-year-old woman from Moscow, was not seriously injured.

Rescue crews were called to the crash just after 11 p.m. Friday.
