Driver injured in high speed chase

GRANT COUNTY (KWWL)-- A Cuba City man faces charges after leading a Grant County deputy on a chase through Grant County, and into the city limits of Cuba City, reaching speeds of  nearly 100 mph.

Deputy Van Kirk met a vehicle traveling 90 mph in a 55 mph speed zone. That driver was 16-year-old Nathan Murray. He refused to stop, traveling through Cuba City at speeds up to 100 mph. Murray lost control of his vehicle, and crashed into a rock wall. His vehicle ended on its roof in the middle of Palmer Street.  Murray was unconscious and rescue crews had to extricate him from  vehicle. He was taken to a Platteville hospital with minor injuries to his head.

Sheriff deputies say Murray is charged with felony eluding, speeding, and passing on a corner.
