H1N1 clinics in Black Hawk and Linn counties this weekend

WATERLOO (KWWL) -- The Black Hawk County Health Department and Linn County Public Health will be holding H1N1 flu vaccination clinics this weekend.

On Saturday, January 16, 2010, the Black Hawk County Health Department will hold their clinic from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. in room 201 of the Pinecrest Building at 1407 Independence Avenue in Waterloo.

The clinic is free and open to all Black hawk County residents.

Walk-ins are welcome or you can schedule an appointment by calling 319-464-5060 or by visiting www.BHCHealthClinics.com.

Linn County Public Health will be holding their last scheduled H1N1 flu vaccination clinic on Sunday, January 17, 2010 from 12:30 to 4:30 p.m. at the Community Health Free Clinic at 947 14th Avenue SE in Cedar Rapids.

Seasonal flu vaccine will also be available for adults 18-years old and over.

The vaccinations will be free but you must make an appointment.

To schedule an appointment call 892-6009.  Appointments will be taken until 2:00 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 15, 2010.

Senator Charles Grassley is scheduled to tour the Community Health Free Clinic at 1:00 p.m. Sunday afternoon.
