More fighting females reported in teen years

WASHINGTON, D.C. (KWWL)-- Has your teenager been in a fight recently? A new study suggests about one in four female teens is involved in some sort of violent behavior at school or work.

In the study by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, 26.7 percent of girls ages 12-17 said they had been involved in some serious fight, or had attacked someone with the intent to harm that person.

Teenage violence is most commonly associated with boys. 33.6 percent of boys said they engaged in violence at school or work.
