Olin teacher under investigation

OLIN (KWWL) -- A teacher with the Olin Consolidated Schools is on paid administrative leave and under investigation for alleged inappropriate contact with a student.

Jones County Sheriff Mark Denniston says that his department learned of the alleged incident yesterday and says no charges have been filed.

He expects the name of the teacher to be released later on Tuesday.

Olin Superintendent Jayne Richardson says all she can say is that the teacher has been placed on paid administrative leave pending the investigation.
