Homeless shelter needs volunteers

WATERLOO (KWWL) - The Cedar Valley Hospitality House opened December 15, 2009 to serve the needs of area homeless during the day.  The house, at 1003 Mulberry St. in Waterloo,  provides shelter, showers, light food, laundry, internet, hot coffee, access to community social service information.

Officials at the house are asking for volunteers to staff the house from 9:00 a.m.-12:30 p.m. and from 12:30-4:00 p.m. They need at least two people per shift. Compassion and a desire to work for the common good are the only requirements.
