NORTH LIBERTY (KWWL) -- North Liberty will be moving city hall into a new location later on this month.
The new location at 3 Quail Creek Circle will open on Monday, January 25, 2010. It is on the west side of Highway 965 near Gasby's, Thrivent Financial and Holy Trinity Lutheran Church.
The move will require city hall to be closed on Friday, January 22, 2010, making the last day of business at the Cherry Street location Thursday, January 21, 2010.
The new city hall will be larger and will accommodate the growing staff in the building, planning and administrative areas.
Once in the new space, the contact numbers for city hall and its staff will remain the same. City hall will also continue to be open Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 4 p.m..
The Cherry Street building will be remodeled after the move and will become the new home for the police department.
The City Council Chambers will remain located at 25 W. Cherry Street.
