Losing Lotto Games

DES MOINES (KWWL) -- It's the final scratch for several Iowa lottery games.

Officials from the Iowa Lottery are ending four instant scratch games and one pull-tab games.  Luck-seekers will no longer be able to play "Stars & Stripes," "Twister," "Double or Nothing" and "Cherry Twist." The state is also canceling the pull-tab game "Loot Pursuit."

If you're a winning ticket holder in one of the scratch games, you have until the close of the business day, April 5th, to collect your prize.  "Loot Pursuit" players have until March 3, 2011.

According to lottery officials, players have won more than $2.4 billion in prizes since the Iowa Lottery started in 1985.  The gaming has raised more than $1.2 billion for state programs.
