Arrest made in October 11 Waterloo shooting

A Waterloo man wanted in connection with an October 11 shooting has been arrested by Black Hawk County Sheriff's Deputies.

Deputies arrested Taefon Ladale Anderson on a warrant for intimidation with a dangerous weapon. Police say Anderson opened fire on Natasha McBride as she left a Newell Street house with her two children. McBride got into a vehicle at about 2:27 a.m. Oct. 11, when the shooting occurred, according to court records.

No one was injured, but Waterloo Police found a number of 9mm shell casings at the scene.

Court records state there were ongoing problems between Anderson and an acquaintance of McBride, including some kind of altercation earlier that night.

Black Hawk County sheriff's deputies made the arrest of Anderson Jan. 1 on Flammang Drive. A judge set his bail at $35,000.
