Waterloo Police Chief Tom Jennings set to retire Friday

WATERLOO (KWWL) After more than 35 years, Waterloo Police Chief Tom Jennings is set to retire. Jennings last day is Friday, January 8th.

Jennings started at the Waterloo Police Department in October 1974. He's worked in the schools, in investigations and in narcotics before taking over as chief in 2000.

There is a farewell reception for him Thursday from 2 to 4 p.m.

We spoke with Jennings today, tune into the KWWL news at 6 p.m. to hear what he has planned after retirement as he reflects on his years of service to Waterloo.
