Two accused of bringing rifle to Dubuque party

DUBUQUE (KWWL) - Two men are accused of barging into a Dubuque home armed with a rifle after a dispute over a debt.  Dubuque police say 24-year-old Gregory Stapleton and 26-year-old Eric Edwards face first-degree burglary charges.  Stapleton also faces a charge of possession of a firearm by a felon. Edwards has an outstanding Indiana warrant for armed robbery.  It was not immediately clear whether the men have attorneys. Police say the men left an after-hours party early Saturday but returned with the rifle. They allegedly pointed the weapon at several people in a dispute over some kind of debt.  When officers arrived, several people were wrestling to keep the barrel of the rifle pointed downward.  No one was injured in the incident.
