Help your school win $100,000

Posted:

WATERLOO (KWWL) -- Could your child's school use $100,000 to do with what they please?  If the answer is yes, you can help make that a reality.

U.S. Cellular will award the top 10 schools in their online voting contest with $100,000 to do with what they please.

Chad Hansen tells KWWL that in the past schools have used the money for supplies, new playground equipment and athletic equipment.

To help your school win, go to any U.S. Cellular retailer between now and January 15, 2010 and pick-up a code.

Then use that code on-line to vote for your school.

There is no purchase necessary to get a code and all schools, no matter if the school is big, small, public, private, a primary, middle or high school, are eligible to win.

Go to http://www.uscc.com/uscellular/SilverStream/Pages/x_page.html?p=callingallcommunities for more and information and to vote for your school.

As of December 23, 2009, Central Lutheran School in Newhall is leading all vote getters.

Here is how some other local schools are doing in the voting:

15 - Kate Wickham Elementary in Corlaville
50 - Immanuel Lutheran in Waterloo
64 - Indian Hills Elementary in Marion
68 - Hampton-Dumont High School in Hampton
87 - St. Edward's School in Waterloo
99 - North Tama High School in Traer
