UNI falls to ISU on the road

AMES (KWWL) -- The instate rivalry road trip continued Sunday night as the UNI women traveled to Ames to take on Iowa State.  It's the start of a four game road swing. The Panthers won four of their last five games against the Clones.

Loyal fans traveling all the way from Cedar Falls.  One group wishing their friend Josie Leper, a 7th grader recovering from a germ cell tumor, watching from the hospital.

Iowa State gets hot early as Zimmerman puts up a jumper for 2 of her 11 points. 

Later K.K. Armstrong on the fast break finds Kim Wypiszynski for the lay up.  It's a 5 point game but Iowa State would lead at half.

Despite cutting a 19 point deficit to 10, Iowa State wins it 76-51.  Alison Lacey with 13 points, earning another double double.
