Hawkeye women take Drake 73-61

IOWA CITY (KWWL) -- After loosing their last three games, including a close one to Michigan, the Iowa women's basketball team was looking to start a winning streak Sunday afternoon in Carver.

The 5-5 Hawkeyes hosting the Drake Bulldogs.  Lisa Bunders looking for her eight straight win against her former team.  The Hawkeyes welcoming back Kachine Alexander, after she sat on the bench for several weeks due to a stress fracture. 

Alexander score 8 points on her return.  She didn't start the game but played in both the first and second half. 

Drake lead, 30-25, at half.  But the Hawkeyes turned around in the second half.  Jamie Printy with a game high 22 points.  Iowa wins it 73-61.  They're now 6-5 on the season, with one more non conference game left.  They host South Dakota State on December 22nd.
