A second night of snow emergency in Cedar Falls

Posted:

CEDAR FALLS (KWWL) -- For the second straight night, Cedar Falls is evoking a snow emergency to haul snow from main roads.

Beginning at 8 p.m. Wednesday night, all vehicles will have to be removed from downtown Cedar Falls. These areas are marked with blue "snow route" signs.

Any cars not removed will be ticketed and towed by Cedar Falls Police. This snow emergency runs through 6 a.m. Thursday.

During this time, public works will plow and haul snow from downtown. The Cedar Falls Public Works Department says they're doing this in an effort to clear streets and make parking easier.
