Dubuque named new hub city for Honor Flight

DUBUQUE (KWWL) – Dubuque has been named the new hub city for Honor Flight.

The flight is scheduled for May 18, 2010.

KWWL is teaming up with Radio Dubuque to help fly WWII veterans to Washington, DC to see the war memorials.

Honor Flight Network has established an aggressive goal for 2009 to transport 25,000 veterans from across the United States to the World War II Memorial. The program presently has 71 hubs in 30 states. By the end of 2009, Honor Flight Network hopes to have a hub in all 50 states.
