Toys For Tots In Final Push

Posted:

WATERLOO (KWWL)

The annual Cedar Valley Toys For Tots campaign is nearing its final push for this year.

Many new toys are still needed, as the 2009 Toys For Tots drive in the Cedar Valley and across Eastern Iowa.

Sponsored in the Cedar Valley by the Cedar Falls Exchange Club and the Marine Corps Reserves, this annual drive collects new, unwrapped toys, for needy children and families. The annual toy drive will continue through December 15.

The goal of Toys For Tots is to deliver a shiny new toy to children this holiday season, and in doing so, send a message of hope and inspiration to Cedar Falls youngsters in need.

Numerous Cedar Valley businesses have placed collection boxes inside the faculties and stand ready to accept your donation of a new, unwrapped toy.

KWWL-TV is one of those businesses and new, unwrapped toys can be dropped off in the lobby of the television, located at 500 East 4th Street, in downtown Waterloo. Drop off your toy by December 15.

And, this reminder from the Cedar Falls Exchange Club—Be part of a great cause---donate a toy today!

For more information contact the Black Hawk County Toys For Tots Coordinator, Joanne Heath at 319-266-4099.
