DUBUQUE (KWWL) -- The Dubuque County Historical Society and the staff of the Mathias Ham House are hosting their annual Open House.  They'll celebrate a Victorian Christmas at the as they invite you to enjoy many of the traditional aspects of the American holiday experience. Santa Claus will be arriving in a carriage at 1 p.m. to greet children of all ages.

Enjoy the festive spirit and warm glow of the Ham House and the unique holiday charm of authentic decorations fashioned from instructions in 19th century Victorian ladies magazines.

Costumed guides will accompany guests on a house tour with all the colorful Victorian and American Christmas decorations and traditions. Carriage rides will be available for visitors to enjoy in addition to complimentary holiday cookies and hot chocolate or cider.
