· An adult in Carroll County with risk factors that increased the chance of complications from the H1N1 virus.

· An adult in Des Moines County with risk factors that increased the chance of complications from the H1N1 virus.

To date, Iowa has reported 27 confirmed H1N1 deaths and more than 650 H1N1-related hospitalizations.

Health experts remind Iowans to be especially cautious during the holidays to avoid flu spread.

Most importantly, remember the three C's: Clean your hands frequently, Cover your coughs and sneezes with a tissue or your sleeve and Contain germs by staying home when ill.
