Solon rolls over BH-RV to win 3rd straight state title

CEDAR FALLS (KWWL) -- Future Hawkeye James Morris ran for 214 yards and 4 touchdowns as top ranked Solon rolled past Boyden Hull-Rock Valley 38-7 to win their third consecutive state title.

The Spartans ran out to a 10-0 lead behind a Marshall Koehn field goal and a 48 yard touchdown run from Morris.  BH-RV struck back before halftime as James VanderMaten scored from 2 yards out, and the Falcons trailed by just 3 at the break.

Solon scored 28 unanswered in the second half to round out the final margin.
