Voting underway for AFSCME, Culver deal

WATERLOO (KWWL) - Union members in several Iowa communities are now voting on the agreement to save hundreds of jobs originally targeted by Governor Chet Culver's ten percent state budget cuts.

If a majority of the AFSCME members vote yes, all executive branch workers will take five unpaid days off.
That would save 479 layoffs.

Voting continues through November 25th. 
Results will be announced November 30th.
