Dry days mean long nights for farmers

WATERLOO (KWWL) - Iowans can't help but notice combines running non-stop lately.

In his weekley crop report, Iowa Secretary of Agriculture, Bill Northey, says dry and windy weather is welcome news now that the ground is dry enough to support harvesting equipment.

The other good news, Governor Culver is allowing propane delivery drivers to be on the road longer to deliver much needed fuel to farmers for drying grain.

However, strong winds and above average temperatures for Nov. could help limit the time needed in driers.
