Jalen Barnes:Athlete of the Week

They can handle adversity if they get down and have to fight back in the second half, nothing really bothers them

Jalen Barnes has epitomized what this undefeated NU high football team has been all season long, Smart, Hard-Working, Strong and that speed thing helps a little nit too.

He's a huge contribution to our team both offensively and defensively. His speed he might be the fastest kid on our team.

-He's been outstanding for us. He's come on not only as a player but as a leader. He's the vocal leader of our team. If their focusing on Jalen, we have Ta'mone, Andrew Stone, Dominique Fagen, Alex Quennios, A.J. Jones. You know when they focus on those guys it opens the door for Jalen.

The little panthers sit at 11-0 and are knocking on the door for a state title birth and in the middle of it all is senior Jalen Barnes who has 513 yards rushing 511 yards receiving and 13 total td'd

WE have worked hard all summer working on our strength, athleticism and speed and it's paid off for us this year. Can't even describe the words of how this season has gone so far."

We are not a big team at all. I don't think we have been as big as a team we have played all year but our speed really makes up for that and just get the ball in the hands of those players and they can do a lot of work.

After a 22-21 win earlier in the year the Little Panthers face a win or go home situation tomorrow night in a rematch against Mason City.

It's going to be even more physical than the last time we played them. They are going to be ready, we go down to their place, they said in the dome it was a fluke so we have to go down and prove once again that we are the better team.

I think the victory gave us confidence not only cuz we were able to get the W but also cuz I don't think we played our best game. So we know what we have to do to get the W
