UPDATE: FBI Asking for Public's Help in Search for Bank Robber

Des Moines (KWWL) -- The FBI and Central Iowa Law Enforcement need the public's help in finding a bank robbery suspect.

Acting Special Agent in Charge Edward W. Reinhold says a federal arrest warrant has been issued for Ray Edward Lee.

Lee has been charged with one count of bank robbery.

Des Moines police say he is responsible for at least two bank robberies.

The latest robbery happened early Wednesday at the US Bank on Euclid Ave.  Officers say a man believed to have been Lee passed a note to the teller, demanded money and took off. Police said he didn't show a weapon.

Lee is also considered a suspect in a Tuesday robbery at the US Bank on Walnut St. in the downtown skywalk.

He is described as a 50 year old black male, 5'8" tall weighing 175 pounds.  They believe he recently changed his appearance by shaving off his mustache.

If you have information concerning Lee's whereabouts, you are asked to contact your local police, the FBI at (515) 223-4278 or the Polk County Crime Stoppers at (515) 223-1400.
