Not scraping windows could be costly

WATERLOO (KWWL) - Not scraping your windows during the colder mornings could cost you if you're not careful.

So-called "peephole driving," where motorists only clean off a small hole of their icy windshield to see, is against the law.

Several states have laws against not removing snow and ice from cars and trucks.
You could get in trouble for not removing snow from your vehicle's roof as well.

In Iowa, driving with an obstructed view is a $25 fine.
Add in court costs, and you'll be paying more than $90.
