Sanitary Sewer Overflow

DUBUQUE (KWWL) -- The Iowa Department of National Resources is cautioning people to stay away from the north fork of the Catfish Creek in the Coates Street area in Dubuque for the next 48 hours.

A pipe blockage has caused a sanitary sewer to overflow untreated wastewater into Catfish Creek.

Dubuque city crews are working to remove the blockage.  The cause is still unknown.

The city of Dubuque and the DNR are monitoring the water content.
