Weather Impacting High School Football Games

Eastern Iowa (KWWL) - The rainy weather is having an impact on tonight's high school football schedule.

Alburnett High School Principal Tom Stewart says the creek behind the school's football field has left it's banks, so tonight's game against Bellevue has been moved to Bellevue with a 7:30pm kickoff.  The JV game scheduled for tonight has been postponed.

The rain has caused New Hampton to cancel their freshman game against Oelwein.

The Union Community freshman and sophomore games against Maquoketa have been canceled.

Sumner-Fredericksburg has canceled their freshman game against Waterloo Columbus Catholic for tonight.

Turkey Valley has canceled the freshman and JV games against South Winneshiek for tonight.

The varsity games at all of these schools are still on as scheduled.

Stay tuned to KWWL and KWWL.COM for more updates as they are released.
