Meth Lab Found in Cedar Rapids

CEDAR RAPIDS (KWWL) --  The Cedar Rapids Police Department uncovered a working meth lab this morning while serving a search warrant.

The Special Response Team served the warrant at 1014 Bealer Court Southeast at around 7:10 a.m. this morning.

Because of the chemicals involved in making the drug, the Cedar Rapids Fire Department Hazmat Team had to be called in to assist.

In all, seven people were arrested this morning.

John Beltz, 38, and Joseph Boots, 39, were charged with Possession of Precursors and Manufacturing. 
Michael Hoover, 41, was charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. 
Danial Sill, 21, was charged with Possession of Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. 
Mabel Franks, 61, was charged with Disorderly House. 
Tracy Stephens, 49, was charged with Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Meth and Possession of Precursors and Manufacturing. 
Roy Shelton, 37, was charged with Possession of Meth and Possession of Precursors and Manufacturing.

All were taken to the Linn County Jail.
