Cedar Rapids mayoral debate

CEDAR RAPIDS (KWWL) -- Mayoral races are heating up across eastern Iowa.

The three candidates in Cedar Rapids faced off on issues Monday afternoon in the Crowne Plaza Hotel.  The Linn Area Bizpac hosted the mayoral debate between businessman Ron Corbett, city council member Brian Fagan,  P.T. Larson.

More than a hundred people gathered at the Rotary Club luncheon to hear where the candidates stand on issues.

"I come to this office because I care deeply about Cedar Rapids and the direction we go after this most critical election that we face," mayoral candidate Brian Fagan said.

"My corridor area committment is second to none and as I help blaze the trail for bus service connecting the corridor. I am not afraid of stronger," mayoral candidate P.T. Larson said.

"I believe our town is a little bit off track and I think in some ways you sense it too. It just doesn't feel right. So we put together a plan to get you back on track," mayoral candidate Ron Corbett said.

Election day is Nov. 3.
