Iowa State monitors injuries to Arnaud, Robinson

Posted:

AMES (KWWL) - Quarterback Austen Arnaud and running back Alexander Robinson have been the heart and soul of Iowa State's offense.

Now the Cyclones are monitoring the health of both players as they head into Saturday's game at Nebraska.

Arnaud bruised his throwing hand early in the first half of Saturday's 24-10 win over Baylor by hitting it on an opposing player's helmet. Coach Paul Rhoads announced Monday he expects Arnaud to play against the Cornhuskers.

Robinson, who has been battling through a sore groin since a win over Army on Sept. 26, aggravated that injury in the third quarter against the Bears.

Rhoads says Robinson's status won't be know until later, though he is listed as a starter. Robinson says he's sore but believes he'll be able to play this week.
