Chase leads to meth arrests

CEDAR RAPIDS (KWWL) - Authorities say two Iowa men face federal drug charges after an alleged high-speed chase on Interstate 380.  18-year-old Edwardo Victor and 25-year-old Gary Alan Corwin, both of Marshalltown, face possession of more than 5 grams of methamphetamine with intent to distribute.  Court records say officers with the Cedar Rapids Police Department and U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration tried to pull over Victor on Wednesday because of a cracked windshield but he allegedly refused and a 25 mile chase ensued. Court records say Victor's vehicle traveled over 100 mph and the chase ended at the border between Buchanan and Benton counties. Records say that along the way Corwin allegedly dumped narcotics from a plastic bag. It was immediately unclear if the men had attorneys.
