Cedar Falls Hammers Cedar Rapids Prairie 31-7

CEDAR FALLS (KWWL) -- The Cedar Falls Tigers playing host to Cedar Rapids Prairie.

Cedar Falls with it's impressive road win at Linn-Mar re-announced that it will be a factor in the postseason race, while Cedar Rapids Prairie needs wins to keep its fading playoff hopes alive.

Legendary Cedar Falls head coach Pat Mitchell was honored for getting his 300th coaching victory over Waterloo West a couple of weeks ago.

This game is a defensive struggle through the first 12 minutes. Cedar Falls had a chance to get on the board, but a bad snap foils this field goal attempt by Austin Gienau.

Cedar Rapids Prairie also had a chance at three, but the Tigers' James Harrington flies in off the edge and blocks this field goal attempt.

In the second quarter Cedar Falls gets something going on offense. Jake Farley scrambles for big yardage.

And then a few plays later Jake Farley floats a pass to James Harrington who outleaps the Prairie defender for the 23 yard touchdown. The Tigers improve to 6-2 with a 31-7 victory.
