Shooting in Waterloo neighborhood injures one

WATERLOO (KWWL) - Violence erupts in a Waterloo neighborhood.  A suspect is still at large while one woman is in the hospital.  The shots rang out around 4:15 Wednesday afternoon on E. 4th and Oliver Streets.  Police haven't made any arrests in what appears to be a drive-by shooting.  Police say 48-year-old Victoria Cook was shot while she was inside a house at 1926 E. 4th St.  They say she was shot in the leg by a bullet that went through the house.  They say her injury is not life threatening.  Police cordoned off the area at 4th and Oliver for about 90 minutes while they searched for clues.  Several shell casings were seen being collected as evidence on Oliver St.  Witnesses say the shots came from a black Cadillac.  Neighbors say they're tired of the violence and are concerned about more gunplay in broad daylight.

"My niece lives two blocks down this way and when we heard about it, it's scared us thinking it's something that had to do with her. What's not to say my son would be outside playing one of these days and a stray bullet come by and hit my 9 year old son?" said Andrea Schoenfield.

Police say the bullets also struck two parked cars outside the home on Oliver St.  Police have not given a description of the suspects or a detailed description of that Cadillac.
