Manchester To Host Festival of Trees, November 21-22


Many cities already enjoy this popular annual event, and now, the Festival of Trees will come to Manchester this year, on Saturday, November 21 and Sunday, November 22.

All proceeds from this First annual Good Neighbor Society event will go toward the building of a new Memory Care Unit at the Good Neighbor Society Home in Manchester.  

The weekend of activities will feature a wide variety of events, including a Gala Saturday. The Festival of Trees events will be held at the new St. Mary's Parish Center on Main Street in downtown Manchester.  The St. Mary's Parish Center is located right behind the downtown Hardees.

night, which will be limited to the first 200 ticket buyers. Because of the limited number of tickets available to the Gala, they must be purchased in advance, at $ 40.00 per person.

The evening Gala will feature special auction and raffle items, not available for bidding during the regular Festival of Trees silent auctions. Saturday night's Gala event will run from 7-10 PM.

The Saturday Festival of Trees will begin at 11:00 AM and run through 5:00 PM. Sunday's events begin at 11:00 AM and will end at 2:00 PM. Admission is just $ 2.00 for adults, while children under age 12 get in free. You pay only once for the entire weekend of Festival of Trees.

Saturday's events will feature a variety of children's activities and a visit from Santa. A bake sale and musical entertainment will also be part of Saturday's Festival of Trees daytime festivities. Both Saturday and Sunday outings will include lunch.

Winners of designated decorating categories will be announced and a presentation of the Good Neighbor Society New memory Care Unit plans will be shared with Festival of Trees visitors.

Silent bids can be made on a wide variety of holiday items, including Christmas trees, large and small, stockings, wreaths, garlands center pieces and gift baskets.
