Robinson to play for Cyclones against KU

AMES (KWWL) -- Alexander Robinson had rushed for a hundred yards in 3 straight games prior to ISU's loss to Kansas State, but his presence was barely felt on Saturday.

That's because Robinson re-aggravated an earlier groin injury on a run at the end of the first quarter.  Robinson was unable to play the rest of the game, which may have been a factor in the Cyclones one point loss, but coach Paul Rhoads says he is likely to see the field this week at Kansas.

"They started him lifting yesterday which is another advance step in the rehab process," says Rhoads, "He'll be ready to play on Saturday.  How long he'll be able to stick around before it gets too tight, who knows?  He'll be a lot further advanced than he was this past weekend."

Iowa State will meet up with Kansas this Saturday at 11:30 AM.
