Road gets tougher for UNI football

Posted:

CEDAR FALLS (KWWL) -- The UNI Panthers haven't really been challenged since week one.  In fact, in their last 4 games they've outscored their opponents 193-21.

Saturday gets a bit more difficult as UNI hits the road to face North Dakota State in the Fargo Dome.

The Bison feature a great running attack that averages more than 200 yards a game, and they put up 210 in a loss at Iowa State earlier this season.

The biggest threat may be the Fargo Dome itself, a place Mark Farley compares to his team's home field in Cedar Falls.

"There's a lot of parallels in the 2 football teams," says Farley, "You look at their dome record if you will, the Fargo Dome record is very similar to our dome record here.  They don't lose too many games there, and they're very confident there.  There's going to be 19,000.  They'll fill the place Saturday afternoon."

The Panthers and Bison kick off at 3:07 on Saturday.
