Money for Leukemia and Lymphoma

ATKINS (KWWL) - A local farm whose business is Halloween scares, pumpkins, and corn mazes helps a marathon runner raise money for Luekemia and Lymphoma.

Mike and Noelle Andrew have not previously been runners, but will be running a 26-mile marathon in San Antonio, Texas on November 15.

"I'm a pediatric Chaplin at the University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics so I work with kids who are sick and ill everyday and to see what their families go through--this is the least I could do to help them and to make their journey towards a cure feasible," Noelle Andrew said.

The couple raised $5,000 on their own, but needed a minimum of $8,200 to run with "Team in Training."  They chose the group to run with because the group could help them properly train.

Bloomsbury Farm near Atkins gave 10 percent of their general admissions from October 4th to help raise money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
