Denver Thumps Grundy Center 53-14 to Remain Unbeaten

DENVER (KWWL) -- It was homecoming for the Denver Cyclones and they would make the most of the night.

Aaron Elbert scores on the QB keeper from the 3 yard line to take a 26-7 lead into the half.

The Grundy Center Spartans come out fired up in the second half and they strike first.  Jordan Noteboom lowers the boom up the middle on the 21 yard TD run to cut the lead to 26-14.

But it would be the Cyclones who would shine.  They come right back and score on Brad Franzen's 3 yard TD run and a 32-14 lead.

Aaron Elbert would score again, this time with his arm, connecting with Ethan Lohmann on a 40 yard TD and a 39-14 lead.

Then it was time for the big play.  Aaron Elbert keeps it again and runs 76 yards for the TD to put the Cyclones up 46-14.  Denver would score one more time in the game to win big, 53-14.
