WATERLOO (KWWL) - Waterloo Police surrounded a home and blocked off streets in a west side neighborhood for over 3 hours Sunday afternoon.  The suspect is still on the loose.  Police say they were called to 919 W. 9th St. just before Noon.   They say during the course of their investigation, they learned the suspect was inside with a firearm. Waterloo's SWAT team responded and tried to get the man to come outside.  Around 3:30 p.m., they threw a smoke bomb and fired tear gas in an effort to get him to come out.  Later, they discovered the man was not inside the home.  They're still trying to find him.  Police have not released a description or his name.
