New agreement lets Iowans hunt in both Iowa and Nebraska

Posted:

(KWWL) Iowans can now hunt in both Iowa and Nebraska.

It's part of a new agreement between the states allowing residents to hunt on land in both states. The land in the deal is west of the Missouri River in Iowa and just east of the Missouri in Nebraska.

The Nebraska Game and Parks Commission says hunters must observe the host state's regulations.

The agreement does not apply for turkey, deer or grouse hunting.
