A race against time for Cedar Valley Chase

BLACK HAWK COUNTY (KWWL)--  50 teams of two found out how fast they can shovel dirt, ride a tricycle and dress a mannequin in the cedar valley

This race of random tasks was called the Cedar Valley Chase.

Several places in Waterloo and Cedar Falls hosted Saturday's activities.

The Cedar Valley Chase is an annual fundraiser for the Cedar Valley United Way.

This year they raised almost $5,000.

"If you're competitive its a great way to get out there and compete and utilize your competitiveness. Its just a whole lots of fun even if you don't win and you end up 38 out of 50," said Oggie Golub, a participant in the Cedar Valley Chase.

The fastest team finished in 2 hours and 10 minutes and won $200.
