Driving a forklift is something Charlie Heinemann has done for years.
So on July 14, the machinist was stunned to find himself trapped when a freak accident threw him out and under one.
The Tripoli father and grandfather has had four surgeries since he was airlifted to Covenant Medical Center in Waterloo.
Charlie's family knew the 56-year-old's positive attitude would help him recover.
A longtime volunteer fireman and Iowa Jaycee, Charlie's never missed a Tripoli football game since the early 80s.
Look for him on the sidelines this season, he'll be the one in the golf cart.
