NFL says no plans for Packers-Vikings site swap

MINNEAPOLIS (AP)(KWWL) -- The NFL is not considering swapping sites for the Packers-Vikings games this year in case baseball gets in the way.

Green Bay plays at Minnesota on Monday night, Oct. 5, pitting Brett Favre against his old team.

The Minnesota Twins trail Detroit by three games in the AL Central with 13 left. If the Twins and Tigers finish tied for first place, the Twins will host a tiebreaker game if they beat Detroit in the season series.

Major League Baseball prefers to play tiebreaker games on the Monday right after the regular season. But NFL spokesman Dan Masonson says there is no site swap under consideration for the Packers-Vikings games.

Green Bay hosts Minnesota on Nov. 1.
