The Falcons run wild on the Huskies

NASHUA (KWWL) -- Third ranked Aplington-Parkersburg opened the District 3 season with a 28-7 victory over Grundy Center, while Nashua-Plainfield has struggled since winning its season opener. The Huskies have lost two games by a combined score of 95-15.

The Falcons would take out the whoopin' stick in the first half. With the very first play from scrimmage quarterback Coy Weigmann hands off to Alex Kreimeyer and he would take the ball 72 yards to the end zone, with the extra point the Falcons go up by seven.

The second play of the game for the Falcons, Weigmann shows off the arm hitting Sam Cordes for a long bomb of a touch down, 75 yards. A-P would get their extra point blocked and go up 13.

The Falcons are doing a great job of spreading the wealth, but they never forget about their main running back Alex Hornbuckle who scores from a couple yards out.

The Falcons sticking to their ground attack as Kreimeyer would score from ten yards out.

Nashua Plainfield's quarterback Zach Larson hits Cody Stirling on the run and that young man would make his parents proud going the distance to the end zone. Nashua-Plainfield would get seven points on the board in the first half.

The Falcons would end up soaring past the Huskies by a score of 54 to 14
