Fierstine must pay for next mental evaluation

DELAWARE COUNTY (KWWL)-- A  rural Manchester man charged with attempted murder will have a third mental evaluation conducted, at his expense.

32 year old Jesse Fierstine is accused of using a pocketknife to cut out his father's pacemaker from his chest in April.

Fierstine's attorney says his client has undergone two mental evaluations, and the third evaluation must be paid by Fierstine.

Family members say Fierstine suffers from bi-polar disorder and at the time of the attack, was not on medication.

Trial is scheduled for October.
