Cabinet officials visit Dubuque Today

DUBUQUE (KWWL) - Dubuque will be the second stop on a three-city Sustainable Communities Tour by U.S. E.P.A. on Thursday.

Administrator Lisa P. Jackson, U.S. Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood, and U.S. Housing and Urban Development Secretary Shaun Donovan are visiting Chicago, Dubuque, and Denver to tour communities that have taken a comprehensive approach to improve access to affordable housing, provide more and less-costly transportation options, and protect the local environment for residents.

The officials will tour Dubuque's Historic Millwork District at 4 p.m. and then hold a community forum at 5 p.m. in Meeting Rooms 1-3 at the Grand River Center.
