Hawks Dominate Once Again

Third ranked North Fayette has been impressive crushing three-a opponents New Hampton and Wavery-Shell rock by a combined score of 85 to 31. Waterloo Columbus beat Independence 41-19 in week one--but the Sailors lost to Hudson 41-16 last week.

It's the start of district play, and Mr. Athlete of the week took the ball on first play of the game, number eight, Tom Nesvik, the senior running back for the North Fayette Hawks 84-yards to the house. The extra point made it 7-zip with only 18 ticks off the clock.

The Sailors would go three and out and on the second offensive play of the game for the Hawks Quarterback, Reid Nuss, rolls to his right and connects with number 84 Cody Grimes for an 18-yard pick up. Only 5 plays later...that's number 2 Tanner Mork running it in for the hawks second score 14-nothing with only 5 minutes gone by in the first.

The Sailors would go three and out again and this time it would only take the hawks four plays and guess who...yep, number-8 Tom Nesvik takes it 44-yards to the zone for his second touchdown of the game making the score 20-zip Hawks after the extra point was blocked.

The North Fayette Hawks would set it on cruise control with the Final Score: Hawks 52 , Sailors 7.
