Manpower survey findings for 4Q

WATERLOO (KWWL) -- As the nation continues to climb out of the recession, employers aren't looking to hire back laid-off workers in the fourth quarter.

According to the latest Manpower Employment Outlook Survey, released Monday, 69 percent of the 28,000 employers surveyed say they don't plan to change their fourth quarter hiring plans. 14-percent expect to decrease their payrolls.

Also, Manpower found that hiring in the wholesale and retail trade sector is expected to be down. That means employers are not planning to hire as many seasonal employees during the holidays this year.
