Two teens killed in go-kart crash


FREDRICKSBURG (KWWL) -- Two teenagers are dead after a go-kart they were riding in collided with a truck in Chickasaw County.

The Iowa State Patrol says just after 5:00 Friday afternoon, 14-year-old William "B.J." Beaulieau and 15-year-old Jacob Murray were riding in a go-kart and 30-year-old Chad Stange of Waucoma was driving a truck when the two vehicles collided in the intersection of 300th and Stanley southeast of Fredricksburg.

The two teens were thrown from the go-kart and were killed.

Stange was injured in the crash, his condition is not being released.

The crash is being investigated by the Iowa State Patrol.

Funeral services for Jacob Murray will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, September 8th at the United Methodist Church in Sumner.   Interment will be at Wilson Grove Cemetery in Sumner.

Services for Beaulieau will be held 10:30 a.m. Thursday, September 10th, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Fredericksburg.  Interment will be in Floral Hills Cemetery in Oelwein.
