CEDAR FALLS (KWWL) -- Last year's 4A finalist, Cedar Falls looked for its first win of the season Friday night after falling to third ranked Cedar Rapids Washington last week while East High is looking for just its third win of the decade.
In the first quarter of game it would be all Cedar Falls. Quarterback Jake Farley hands off to running back Barkley Hill and takes it up hill and gives it that extra effort to cross the goal line, with the extra point the Tigers go up seven to nothing.
Cedar Falls would strike again with the same dynamic duo, Farley hands off to Hill for a five yard run, with the point after the Tigers go up 14 to nothing.
East High would not go quietly into that dark night, by capitalizing on a Cedar Falls fumble in the second quarter.
Quarter back Nathan Sahr would score his first rushing touchdown straight up the gut, with the point after the Trojans would only be down by a touchdown with eight minutes left in the first half.
Cedar Falls would dig down deep and show that Tiger pride winning tonight 42 to 7.
